Dickoya Dairy Products (pvt) Ltd started operation in year 2000 collecting milk from Gampaha district. Milk processing factory is situated in Weliweriya in Gampaha district. Milk is been collected from dairy farmers in Gampaha is processed to various dairy products and sold under the brand name of “Dickoya Dairy Products” 3000 Ltr of milk is collected from nearly 300 farmers from Gampaha. Presently , out of this collection 1000 Ltr of milk is been used for the production of and balance is sold to major milk processing companies.
Dickoya Dairy Products stated expanding of milk collection from year 2002 and established milk collection and chilling centers in Nuwara -Eliya district for providing marketing facilities for dairy farmers in the Nuwara Eliya district. Presently, milk chilling centers are in operation in the district, and average of 15000 Ltr of milk is collected. New Company was established for milk collecting and selling operation under the name of “Dickoya Milk Collecting (Pvt) Ltd” with the expanding of milk collecting operation.
Presently, average of 30,000 Ltr of milk collected per day and sold to various milk processing companies in the Island. Dickoya Milk Collecting (Pvt) Ltd is providing technical & Financial support for dairy farmers to improve milk quality and production.
